Koelsch Elementary School

Educating Today for a Better Tomorrow!

Koelsch Library

Welcome to the Koelsch Library!

Koelsch library is a space where all students belong and have the opportunity to explore stories from around the world in all of our most spoken languages. From old classics to brand new titles, from diverse stories and novels to fascinating non-fiction, our shelves are curated to inspire curiosity, foster literacy, and encourage every student to find a story that speaks to them. We use a genre system that is easy for elementary aged students to navigate and discover books they will love. We believe the library is a launchpad for lifelong learning and a place for our community to connect through books and a love of reading.

I have been the librarian at Koelsch since August 2025 but I have been a Koelsch Ram since 2021 in various capacities, such as working with our ML students learning English and supporting interventions in reading and math. Two of my three children have been students at Koelsch, and I have a deep commitment to our school community. Originally from the UK, I have been in Boise since 2015 with my husband, 3 children, and 2 cats. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have via ParentSquare or at helen.winters@boiseschools.org.
